ar X iv : h ep - p h / 01 11 47 3 v 2 2 M ay 2 00 2 Unitarity Corrections to the Drell - Yan Process in the Target Rest Frame

The unitarity corrections effects encoded in the Glauber-Mueller approach are taken into account to calculate the differential cross sections in the Drell-Yan process in the rest frame. A detailed study of the Drell-Yan process in terms of the γ * q transverse separation and the color dipole size, and of the effective dipole cross section, is performed and compared with the available small x data. Estimates for the Drell-Yan cross section at RHIC energies are presented and discussed.
